IASP has dedicated the 2017 to the study and the clinical aspects of Acute Pain. Their conclusions were very negative, if not dramatic. Acute pain, and especially postoperative pain is very poorly treated. So, all over the world there is still the necessity to increase the awareness on acute pain patients. The 9th Manage Pain Congress has appeared as a fantastic occasion to include a satellite symposium on the Acute Pain Management. The Fondazione Internazionale Menarini, with the scientific support of the Fondazione Paolo Procacci, is supporting a highly renowned international faculty to make an update on this crucial topic in medicine. The scientific program of the 2 days symposium will be exploring all the new data on Acute Pain appeared in the literature in the last few years, but will also propose new strategies for the management and the pharmacological treatment. This will certainly be useful for all the attendees, but especially for their patients.
