The knowledge about the innate immune system is becoming more and more complex, nonetheless its implications in Allergy and Respiratory Diseases is highlighting the relationship between environment and infections. These interactions are leading, to Allergy onset on one side and on the other side they are playing a crucial role on clinical exacerbations of both Asthma and COPD. It’s crucial, nowadays, to provide an updating on the new insights about the innate immune system, its interactions with the genetic background/predisposition and clinical development. It will be also aim of the Congress to revise the current pharmacological and biotech treatments of Allergy, Asthma and COPD; how those treatments can interfere with the immune responses and the clinical relevance of these effects.
