RATIONALE
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of mortality across
the industrialized countries. It is important that cardiologists be both
skilled and aware on contemporary best practices to ensure that
patients receive appropriate best-quality care. The present International
Symposium on “Advances in Clinical Cardiology, Valvular Heart Disease
and Cardiovascular Imaging” is designed to provide clinicians updated
reviews of the latest science and cutting-edge advances.
Modern cardiovascular imaging techniques, not only 2D and 3D
echocardiography but also computed tomography and magnetic
resonance imaging, are designed as a common thread connecting
clinical cardiology, understood as an integral part of internal medicine,
to diagnosis, surgical and interventional treatment of diseases of cardiac
valves, a field that is showing impressive development in recent years.
Very expert and authoritative international speakers will illustrate the
most recent diagnostic and therapeutic advances in the field of clinical
cardiology, with particular attention to valvular diseases. Large space
will be reserved for collegial discussion between experts with the active
involvement of the audience. Main goal is for participants to incorporate
the most recent advances in cardiovascular care in leading Hospitals
and to ensure knowledge for the translation to clinical daily practice.
